Digital India is a major platform for digital use. While doing this, it is also a big responsibility to educate the citizens about safe use. With this social awareness, Safecom Internet and E-Commerce Safety Foundation have been set up to curb fraudulent internet transactions in India and to reduce fraud among the citizens.
Tushar Bhagat, founder of SAFECOM, said that 123 million cyber scams and frauds in 2019 cost the Indian public INR 1.2 trillion. At the same time, during the Corona epidemic, more than 72% of the people were using the Internet or Internet-connected devices.
He also said that many of these people are victims of cyber threats. He also hoped that the website would help in reducing fraud among the people. On this website the user asks for information of any e-commerce website that will be searched in our algorithm and the user will be informed whether that website is safe or not. He said that the site will be given a score of 0 to 100 and also the five star will be told whether the site is dangerous or safe. He also said that all these services are free for the users.
